⚙️ Application & Assembly

The LHW spring is mounted on the right side of the gate (when viewed from the inside) in double spring systems. It precisely balances the weight of the gate leaf and ensures smooth operation. Pre-assembly with 2P spring heads makes installation quick and easy.

Safety tip: Installation only with a suitable clamping tool (Ø 12.7 mm) and protective clothing. Disconnect the drive from the power supply before working. For maximum safety, Tormeister 24 recommends installation by qualified personnel.

🏁 Practical example

Ideal for garages with regular door operation. The LHW spring offers even force distribution, quiet operation, and a long service life. A wax film and powder coating effectively protect against rust and moisture.

❓ FAQ

What does LHW mean?

LHW stands for "Left Hand Wound" – left-hand wound. This spring is mounted on the right side (viewed from the inside) in double spring systems.

How do I identify the correct side of the spring?

LHW springs are mounted on the right, RHW springs on the left. The winding direction indicates the direction of rotation when tensioning.
