Installing gap seals – doors, gates & loading ramps

Preparation

Remove old material.
Completely remove any old seals, stickers or warning tape.

Clean the surface.
Dust and grease free. This is the only way the magnetic surface will adhere securely.

Take measurements.
Doors: door leaf width · Gates: section/slat width · Ramps: complete joint, at the back between hinges.

Mark out and cut cleanly.
Mark with an angle and cut precisely with sharp scissors/tin snips.

Check the surface.
Magnetic? If not, use the SMB100 adapter band .

Doors (steel, wood, plastic, aluminum) – PedDoorMag

Ideal for steel doors: PedDoorMag seals . They contain a special rodent-protection fabric, adhere magnetically, and require no drilling.

Cut to length, deburr edges.

Place flush at the bottom and press down without any waves .

Close door, check seat and passage.

Installation on gates

Open the gate, expose the bottom edge and clean it.

Cut exactly to the section/slat width.

Starting from one side, lay it flat and press down continuously.

Function test: close, check operation; re-learn peak force for drive.

Clean surfaces left & right, wipe dry.

Front: Mount DockMag on the left, align; mirror on the right.

Rear: Cut SAMLH to size and insert between the hinges.

Check the continuous joint – no open spots.

Tips & hints

  • Always apply flat – waves reduce the sealing effect.
  • After installation, move the gate/door several times and check that it runs smoothly.
  • For motorized gates: re-learn the peak force for testing purposes.
  • For non-metallic surfaces: adapter tape SMB100 .
